Gala Dinner

Conference participants are invited to join a gala dinner on Thursday the 9th of October 2014, at the Okapuka Game Ranch located just outside Windhoek.

Situated under the Auas Mountains, you will enjoy a truly African culinary experience, while taking in the beautiful surroundings. Before dinner you can go for a walk, relax at the bar or the swimming pool. Alternatively, you can go on a game drive.
The bus will depart at 16:15 from Safari Hotel, for all participants registered for the gala dinner.

Game Drive

The optional game drive is one of the highlights of the social activities. You can experience the African wildlife at close range, from an open vehicle. At Okapuka Game Ranch you have the possibility of encountering Zebras, Giraffes, Rhinos and a variety of antelopes such as Kudus, Oryx, and Springboks, in their natural habitats.

Participatory Mural at Pashukeni Pre-Primary School

Local artist, John Kalunda, has created a participatory mural at the Pashukeni pre-primary school in Katutura. John and the students would like to invite you to come see the mural for yourself. We have arranged a mini-bus that can take you from the conference centre to the pre-primary school during lunch time. Please note that seats are limited and booking in advance is advised. This trip is free of charge and lunch will be provided (instead of lunch at the conference venue).
